David O'Riordan

David's art journey dates back to when he was in elementary school. He and his classmates would draw various scenes together for fun. They would most often draw from references of different tanks or jets.

In his free time as a child, David watched many famous cartoons such as Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry and continue to draw from references. When middle and high school rolled around, him and his friends would spend hours reading comic books and drawing. While his friends were focusing more on realism, David preferred to practice drawing cartoons.

During a summer break of college, David wanted to learn to paint but could not afford the supplies, so he settled for practicing with crayons. Post college, he finally bought acrylics and pastels where he continued to create for years.

David doesn't just paint, however. He dedicates time to many different creative endeavors such as music, writing, and making videos. For a couple years he didn't paint as much but would still doodle frequently, though he felt as though he was suffering art block. However, one day, David's cousin gave him several frames which inspired him to paint again.

"As for me, when I am creative, like in painting, I feel God’s pleasure."
