Out of My Hands
An exhibition of work on paper
The title refers to both the physical expression of creativity, as well as, Kim's personal and protective response to the external world. The body of work produced in the past 3 years was created in her own technique with oil, oil pastel, ink and pencil. Organized compositionally as landscapes, the energetic and gestural markings intentionally offer more information with less detail, leaving room for viewer interpretation. Her art explores color and depth, displaying a balance between figurative and abstract.
